Brat Bheinn is a modern two bedroom holiday cottage for let in an idyllic setting on the beautiful but little known island of Jura. Set among Scotland's Inner Hebrides, this wild but welcoming island is bathed by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, giving it a mild climate. The third largest of Argyll's islands at 30 miles long by seven miles wide, Jura is home to just over 200 people and more than 5000 deer.
The cottage is located on the secluded shore of Crackaig Bay close to the tranquil rocky shoreline with an undisturbed sandy beach at the far end of the bay, and offers extremely comfortable modern accommodation in a truly stunning location.
From the cottage, over garden ground extending to the sea, magnificent sea views and beyond towards the Mull of Kintyre, the Isles of Gigha and Arran can be enjoyed.
Crackaig Bay is one and a half miles from the island's main village of Craighouse where you will find the general store, petrol pumps, post office, gift shop, tearoom and Jura Hotel with bar and restaurant.
Jura's long and rugged coastline features caves, cliffs, raised beaches and long stretches of white sand where you can see a great variety of wildlife including otters and seals basking on the rocks, and there are over 100 species of birds on the island at any time of the year.
In addition to the natural landscape and its inhabitants Jura is rich in history, with standing stones, ancient burial grounds, deserted villages and iron-age forts awaiting your discovery.
If you want to experience a holiday among some of Scotland's finest island scenery then why not book our Jura holiday cottage for a complete break from the stresses of modern life.
